Larimar City & Resort is a planned city on the Punta Cana Cliff, 100 metres above sea level, with open views over Punta Cana and the Caribbean. Along the edge of the cliff it is building artificial beaches and a Mediterranean-style promenade of over 3 km, with shops, restaurants, pools and lagoons; a protected ecological corridor is kept at its base.
Conceived as a smart city, it brings together homes, leisure, retail, education, healthcare and security. A grand boulevard with renewable energy and water reuse connects the residential areas with two golf courses (an 18-hole course, with 9 holes open in phase 1, and a 9-hole par 3 on the promenade), beach clubs, restaurants, a mall, a healthcare centre and a university.
It is being built in six phases and eleven residential projects: seven groups of towers and low-rise buildings with pools, 40 townhouses by the golf course and 437 villas with private pools and catalogue designs. Essential infrastructure and services are in place from the first phase.
